The Isfahan Children and Teenagers’ Painting Competition was held nationally in 2019 and 2020, successfully attracting the attention of children and adolescents to the festival’s themes. In 2021, for its first international edition, it aimed to assess children’s perspectives on the city and strengthen their sense of belonging and urban identity, competing among children and teenagers domestically and internationally, which was very well-received. Home is more than walls and a roof; it is the canvas of life and the mirror of our identity; a place where shared family stories are formed together and ethical and educational values sprout like seeds in the hearts of children. This warm shelter is the source of endless tranquility and a deep sense of belonging; children’s laughter in the yard, simple games on the carpet, and the unwavering kindness of parents create lasting memories. Of course, this home can also have a broader meaning and transcend the boundaries of walls; it can become a land where cultural roots flow through its alleys, and the sound of life is heard in its mountains and plains. When a child or adolescent takes up the colored pen to depict home, they are essentially placing feelings of security, pride in roots, and hope for a bright future onto the canvas. The Isfahan International Children and Teenagers’ Painting Competition, Poopak, with the theme “Home,” is an opportunity for children and adolescents to depict this meaningful word through the language of art.
